Buri Electric was founded in 2009 in Reston, Virginia, with a simple mission: provide honest, reliable electrical service to our neighbors throughout Northern Virginia. What started as a one-person operation has grown into the region’s most trusted electrical contractor, known especially for our expertise in Tesla-certified EV charger installations.

As electric vehicles became mainstream, we saw the need for specialized expertise in home charging solutions. In 2015, we became one of the first Tesla-certified installers in the DC Metro area. Since then, we’ve installed over 200 Tesla Wall Connectors and become the go-to choice for EV owners throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.

Today, Buri Electric remains headquartered in Reston, serving a 50-mile radius with the same commitment to quality, transparency, and customer service that has defined us since day one.

Owner & Master Electrician

Master Electrician Emmanuel Buri is a Virginia-licensed Master Electrician with over 20 years of deep-rooted expertise in residential and commercial electrical systems. His career is defined by a commitment to technical precision and a journey that spans continents and the industry’s most respected training programs. The Journey to Mastery Born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan, Emmanuel moved to the DC Metro area in 2000. Seeking to build a career founded on excellence, he began his formal training through the ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) apprenticeship program in Virginia. This rigorous foundation provided him with the essential skills that would propel him to the top of his field.Professional Growth & Union Excellence Following his initial training, Emmanuel further elevated his craft by joining IBEW Local 26. His involvement with the union reinforced his dedication to high-tier safety standards and complex commercial infrastructure. Today, as a Master Electrician, Emmanuel combines decades of “boots on the ground” experience with a sophisticated understanding of modern electrical codes. Whether navigating large-scale commercial builds or intricate residential projects, he is known for his reliability, technical mastery, and his unique American-success-story perspective., Emmanuel understands the unique electrical challenges of homes in our region—from 1920s rowhouses in Bethesda to modern townhomes in Reston.

After working for several large electrical contractors, Emmanuel founded Buri Electric in 2009 to provide the personalized, honest service he felt was missing in the industry. His approach is simple: explain the work clearly, price it fairly, and do it right the first time.

As electric vehicles gained popularity, Emmanuel recognized the specialized knowledge needed for safe, code-compliant home charging installations. He completed Tesla’s rigorous certification program in 2015 and has since become one of the most experienced Tesla installers in the region, completing over 200 installations.
